Package Itinerary

1st Day: Lima.

Upon your arrival reception at the airport and transfer to the selected Hotel.

Overnight at the selected hotel.

2nd Day: Lima

LIMA CITY TOUR (COLONIAL AND MODERN):

Guided visit through Lima's Historical Center: the Plaza Mayor (Main Square), the Government Palace, the Archbishop's Palace, the City Hall, and old streets with colonial mansions and Moorish balconies. You will also visit the San Francisco Convent, which has the most magnificent collection of colonial art in America. The tour will continue through the most traditional residential areas of Lima, including San Isidro, Miraflores, and LarcoMar, a shopping center of international thematic attractions which offers a spectacular panoramic view of the Pacific Ocean.

3rd Day: Lima/Cusco

At the appropriate time, transfer to the airport.

Airline ticket, Travel to Cusco.

Upon your arrival at the airport, you will be carried to the selected hotel.

CITY TOUR & NEIGHBORING RUINS:

City tour for 3 hours through the beautiful Cusco city and its nearby ruins. The tour will show you the amazing colonial city built on the foundations of the Inca palaces. You will visit the Koricancha or Temple of the Sun, where you can appreciate the incredible masonry of the Incas, the Plaza de Armas, and the Cathedral with its carved woodworks, altars, and paintings.

Then you will be driven to the Inca fortress of Sacsayhuaman, to the underground cave and temple of Qenqo, and to Tambomachay, known as the Baths of the Inca. Finally, you will visit the Misminay Exhibit, Misminay is a native community of Cusco, there you will be able to appreciate their beautiful handicrafts.

4th Day: Cusco/Sacred Valley

PISAC MARKET & OLLANTAYTAMBO:

Full-day Sacred Valley excursion. 31 km (19 miles) far from Cusco is Pisac, at the entrance of the Sacred Valley. Visit the colorful market where on Sundays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays a craft fair took place where you can buy beautiful handicrafts and souvenirs.

The lunch will be served in a local restaurant. The tour continues towards Ollantaytambo, an archaeological site that the Incas built as a fort and includes a temple, agricultural terraces, and an urban area. There are two distinct sectors: Araqama Ayllu, the religious and worship zone, and Qosqo Ayllu, the residential area. Ollantaytambo was an important administrative center with probable military functions due to the walls and towers. There are also traces of ancient roads and aqueducts. The town of Ollantaytambo is called a Living Inca Town since the inhabitants maintain very old practices and customs.

Return to Cusco city.

5th Day: Inca Trail

INCA TRAIL - DAY 1:

Pick up from the hotel at 4:30 a.m. and transfer to the Sacred Valley, where you will stop for approximately 45 minutes, to pick up the porters and equipment. You will have time to visit the surrounding area of the town before making your way to kilometer 82, your starting point. A slow and short trek for acclimatization purposes towards the first stop at the Llactapata archaeological complex (2,550 meters above sea level). 30 minutes to visit this archaeological complex before continuing your walk to Wayllabama where you will camp.

Total walking time: 5:00 hours approximately. c

Initial altitude: 2,750 meters. Final altitude: 3,000 meters.

6th Day: Inca Trail

INCA TRAIL - DAY 2:

After breakfast, you will begin your walk through the valley of Wallabamba. You will be able to observe the nature and ecological change of the area until you arrive at Yunca Chimpa, from where you will climb to Llulluchapampa up to 3,750 meters. From that point you will be able to appreciate the valley of Huayanay and the first pass located at 4,200 meters: Warmiwañusca also called Dead Woman's pass. Descent and camp at the Pacaymayo sector.

Total walking hours: 8:00 hours approximately.

The total number of kilometers: is 13km.

Initial altitude 3,000 meters. Final: 3,800 meters.

Meals included: Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner.

7th Day: Inca Trail

INCA TRAIL - DAY 3:

This is the strongest day of adventure by the Inca Trail (10 miles). After breakfast ascend the second step called Runkurakay which is (3.860 m), unlike the previous days will have a difference of two hours by Inca Trail where you can visit the small complex Sayacmarca and appreciate the valleys and peaks, then continue to Phuyupatamarca complex, making a short tour, then descend three miles to a place called Wiñaywayna where he will visit the complex of the same name and you can camp.

Total walking hours: 10:00 hrs.

The total number of kilometers: 15 km.

Initial altitude: 3800 meters. Final 2650 meters.

Meals included: Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner.

8th Day: Inca Trail/Machu Picchu

INCA TRAIL - DAY 4:

er very early breakfast to follow the itinerary on the Inca Trail, Inti Punku exit (Gate of the Sun), the entrance of the ancient Inca citadel of Machu Picchu, from here you will walk down along valleys, approximately are 2 hours the Inca Trail, then enjoy a guided tour in this magical place. The citadel of Machu Picchu is the most important tourist attraction of Cuzco, where the Inca trail ends.

Discovered in 1911 by the American explorer, Hiram Bingham, this city is considered to be one of the most extraordinary examples of scenic architecture in the world. The Incas, using ingenious engineering techniques, were able to transport heavy stone blocks up the mountainside, and once there, they used their excellent masonry skills to produce amazingly polished stones that fit together perfectly.

Total walking hours: 2:15 hrs.

The total number of kilometers: 6 km.

Initial altitude: 2,650 meters. Final: 2,400 meters.

9th Day: Machu Picchu/Cusco

SECOND DAY IN MACHU PICCHU:

Entrance fee to visit Machu Picchu ruins or to climb the Huayna Picchu peak, the great mountain behind the citadel. The guide is not included.

Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant.

At the appointed time, you will return to the station to take your train ride to Ollantaytambo station at the Sacred Valley.

Transfer from Ollanta Station in the Sacred Valley to Cusco’s Hotel.

Overnight at the Selected Hotel.

10th Day: Cusco

Day at leisure to enjoy the wonders of Cusco city.

11th Day: Cusco/Lima
